Please Support Our Site
Please support our site and help keep our tribute alive. We don't make any money from this site. All donations received, as well as all proceeds earned from the sale of merchandise and ads, go to two places. The first is to pay for the monthly costs of running the site and the second is to our AZWL Benevolent Fund. The fund helps those Arizona Wrestling Legends in time of need. In the past, our main use for the funds has been to provide travel assistance (such as hotel rooms) to our legends traveling to our annual reunion from out of state. Thank you for your generousity. We sincerely appreciate your support.

We are very sad to report the passing of our friend Ron Mooney. Ron was a wrestling photographer and a real friend to the wrestlers and to Arizona wrestling in general.
We received a phone call from Ron's wife, Ruby, at 2:06 this morning advising us that Ron had passed away following a bout with Lung Cancer which had spread to other parts of his body. Ron Mooney was 51. What can I say about my friend Ron? Well, I can tell you that he was a great guy. He would give you the shirt of his back if he thought you needed it. I have seen him spend his own time and money to produce promo photos and t-shirts for some of the local wrestlers here in Arizona. Ron was so loved that he was made an honorary Arizona Wrestling Legend and was the only non-worker allowed to attend the annual reunion. Additionally, Ron was also a lifetime member of the Cauliflower Alley Club. We send our sincerest condolences out to his wife Ruby, their children and their young grandaugher. Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. God bless.
