"Tough as nails and mean as snakes." It's not every wrestler who solicits this type of response at the mere mention of their name, but it's a common response when you mention the Lumberjacks.
The Lumberjacks made their mark on Arizona wrestling from the mid1970s through the early 1990s. It is safe to say that they were the premiere tag team in the state during that time.
Like his partner, Lumberjack #2 was also a champion in singles wrestling as well as tag team competition. Also like his partner, he liked to cause mayhem everywhere he went. They used to drive the fans into a frenzy of
hatred and they used to drive the referees nuts. "They were so sneaky, we could never figure out what they were doing," said one Arizona wrestling official who wished to remain anonymous.
Aside from racking up championships in the ring and body counts to boot, Lumberjack #2 was also a well-respected wrestling trainer in the area.
These days, Lumberjack #2 is retired from the mat wars, but says he will entertain the idea of another match when necessary. His hobbies include working out, target shooting, bowling and sandrailing.
